Augustus Saint-Gaudens (1848-1907) designed $20 double eagle gold piece, regarded most beautiful U.S. coin; sculpted several monuments commemorating Civil War heroes. Daniel C. French (1850-1931) sculpted Abraham Lincoln Statue at Lincoln Memorial and Concord Minute Man in Concord, Massachusetts. Frederic Remington (1861-1909) painted Cavalry Charge on the Southern Plains and The Last Stand.
